George Washington Flanders, b. 6 Aug 1808 in South Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, d. 8 Nov 1900 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, son of Parker Flanders & Tirzah Sawyer.  He married Ruth L. Flanders on February 15, 1842 in Cornville, Somerset County, Maine.  (Descendant of Stephen Flanders & Jane Unknown, both coming to America together between 1640 and 1646, settling in Salisbury, Massachusetts)
