Joshua Newbold, b. 30 Sept. 1802 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, d. 31 Aug 1887 near Hillsboro, Van Buren County, Iowa, son of Barzillai Newbold & Elizabeth Gaskell.  He married Rebecca Davis (1st wife) in 1832.  He married Susannah Dudley (2nd wife) in 1855.
